Dawn - Veronica Barboza

poetry ☆

Can I love you longer than the dew at dawn?

Perhaps the moon in eve?

Or how the stintless stars are drawn —

as night in space knows no reprieve.

Ashes on the hearth

a swan — a fox — a fawn

a fear of all that’s fell before

the contingency of dawn.
