Silent Symphony - Léna Jasmine Ziti

My mind devotes its nights to worshiping the hush,

Kneeling to the moon that mirrors back its tears.

It prays, it cries, it curses through the years,

A lover begging for a vanished crush:

“Return my words, and I will lay down every blade!”

His throat grows tight—his spirit sobs aloud.

A lifetime spent reclaiming love he made,

But silence is a symphony too proud,

Precise and pure—and he, poor soul,

Sang far too off-key to be allowed.

Léna Jasmine Ziti is a French student and aspiring diplomat whose world is built on the pillars of verse and history. After falling in love with poetry through Dead Poets Society six years ago, she has dedicated herself to make "sucking the marrow out of life" her philosophy. When she isn't studying global affairs, she is immersing herself in 19th-century Gothic tales, Greek myths and the sweeping drama of artistic French Romanticism.
