I long for when my hair becomes a home for nesting birds
My nails, a shaded awning for garden dirt
My embrace, a cradle for lost fawn.
Savannah Manhattan is a poet and author based in Los Angeles. She has two published poetry collections entitled There's Something About Theo and The Deadname Triptych. She also has two published short stories in national anthologies and poems in multiple lit mags.
