Illuminatrix - Kira Rosemarie

A keeper of the crossroads,

she bears my lantern when the way is lost—

which, so often, it is,

even under a full moon in all three realms.

Crowned with oak, a forest,

a savior in saffron—

liquid fire lights me from within

I the lantern, I the wanderer.

When my footsteps stick softly to tile

as I wake in the night for a drink,

I’m walking only through sleep.

Hecate passes me again to Morpheus.

At dawn I’ll be passed back to her,

adrift again, searching

for the illuminatrix—

becoming her myself.
