McKenzie Johannes is an artist local to the Columbus, Georgia area. She is a sophomore at Columbus State University, pursuing a BFA in studio arts. Her work spans across mediums, exploring the emotions and symbolism behind her subject matter. More recently she has been tackling themes of self identity and the complexities of womanhood. Combining objective and conceptual elements, McKenzie Johannes creates art that pushes the boundaries of playfulness and seriousness and explores the relationship between the two.
